Company Retreat

Remember a few weekends back when it was warm (well warm for Oregon in January) and sunny. We spent that weekend at the coast for a company retreat and it was great. And it's funny to say company retreat seeing as how Roberts company only has three employees total. For those of you that don't know Robert, my brother John, and my cousin Chris started a home fitness products company. They are in the process of making their first product The Journey Gym. I would tell you more but I don't want some Joe Smoe to steal the idea.
Back to the coast. It was amazing. You can only get this kind of weather at the Oregon Coast in July and August. I thoroughly enjoyed the sun.

The three men didn't want to upset their wives by working all weekend so they took us along for the trip. While they had planning sessions we had shopping sessions. We got to stay at my aunts beach house in Pacific City and just relax. We left the kids with grandma and I really appreciated getting 8 hours of sleep (in a row).

Wendy, Me, & Shana headed to Cannon Beach and ate lunch at Pizza'a'fetta. It was so good and worth the long wayward drive. We took two wrong turns and really had no idea the city was so far away. But once we were there we had fun visiting all the shops.

Wendy made a request for Bruce's Candy shop. This kind man was making fresh peanut butter taffy. And let me just say if you ever get a chance to eat warm taffy, take it!

We ladies hit up the outlets for some crazy sales. Gap had 50% offt their clearance prices. I got this outfit (top & bottom) for Bailey for 3$!!! And seeing as how she just went through a huge growth spurt and didn't fit into any of ther 2T pants, it was perfect timing.

But not everything was roses upon our return. Caden had yet another accident while at my house. (see previous accident here)
While he and Bam were jumping he hit his head (or eye) on the bookcase. He and grandma went to the emergency room where he was completely cooperative with the doctors and nurses. Seriously he just laid down with his face covered and got stitches without a tear or peep for that matter. Wendy and John still let him come over to play with Bailey, even though we've had him for 3 sleepovers and he's had 2 doctors visits to follow up.

This is Caden the next day. See, no harm no foul!
And thanks again Mom for watching the kiddos, we loved the rest and relaxation.
