Then Bailey woke up and was doing this "ugly, grumpy face" that was cracking me up. So I took a picture to document it.
The kiddo's played hide and seek in the backyard. Robert was it and this is Bay doing her best 'hiding'.
Caden hid on the slide (very creative, since that's where he started) and pointed out where Rosh (that's Robert in Caden's language) could find Bailey.
This picture is mostly for John, Caden's dad, to show his child drinking from a garden hose. Caden couldn't get enough of water. He and Bailey were soaking wet by the time they were done drinking.
So when you and your clothes are wet you continue the process and jump into the bathtub. "Look at my new teeth Caden!".
Playing in the tub is fun.
Bam spent a lot of the weekend in Time Out. She is learning to share and take turns. It got to the point that Caden would wait in the hallway for Bailey to come out of timeout because she would have to say sorry and give him a hug. He would just save her the time of walking to him and would be readily available for her apologizes.
One night Robert built the kids a fort.
They ate dinner and watched a movie in there. The whole weekend was a big hit . . . except there was one little accident, that resulted in this
Yep, Caden BROKE HIS ARM while under my watchful care (obviously not so watchful). He had been in my house for 5 minutes, he was playing on the couch and fell off the back of it and lands on his arm. He cried for 20 seconds, gets some cuddles from uncle Rosh and is good to go. We play all weekend long and eventually I notice that he isn't using his left arm, he's doing everything one-handed and it's a little swollen. We gave Caden back to his parents, they took him to the doctor and he broke two arm bones. I felt and still feel so bad. But he looks really cute in his cast and his parents aren't mad at me, so I think we're okay. Now his mom just has to figure out how he is going to wear all of his winter clothing with a cast up to his arm pit. Go to the top of this post and look at all the pictures of Cado's. Look at his left arm, he is either not using it or it's completely limp. Sad day! (don't let me watch your child!)

What a fun weekend for Bailey and Caden. Addi seemed to fit right in under that fort. They are so darn cute in that picture. Poor Caden with his arm. Kids have such a high pain tolerance. Speaking of babysitting, I found Addi's bottle, now I just need to remember to give it to you. :)
ReplyDeleteApparently Ryan is very excited to razz you about this unfortunate event. He told Wendy that you are always perfect and so he couldn't wait to give you a hard time. We'd definitely all have to agree that you are practically perfect in every way -- and we love you for it -- Even if you do let the kid break his arm on your watch!
ReplyDeleteOh, could you just die? I hate it when that happens. That's a great way to get out of babysitting duty FOREVER! But seriously, that breaks my heart! Luckily, he didn't seem too negatively affected.
