Racking at the Property

If you've been following this blog for a while now you know that my family has a little bit of land in Central Oregon that we call The Property. Every year around May, once the snow has melted, we head over the mountain to get the land ready for summer and rack up all the pine needles.

This year the adult helpers were small in numbers but we had a ton of grandkids around. The sun was out and it reached 75 degrees. In Oregon terms that means break out the slip-and-slide!!!
Caden was a bit timid.

Bailey was the biggest scaredy-cat

Myah tried to show the younger kids how it's done.

Addie was super brave.

Of coarse it took 30 minutes to get the slip-and-slide set up and lather the kids in sunscreen. They played in the water for about 10 minutes and then decided they were too cold. Tis the life of a mom.

The weather was perfect and we wouldn't pass up a chance to go to the property. Even if it means driving 3 hours to rack needles and get blisters on our hands.
